Last Movement is a New Wave / Shoegaze / Garage band-based in Rome, Italy.
Their sound is inspired by bands like Spacemen 3, Jesus and Mary Chain, Killin Joke, Slowdive, The Cure, My Bloody Valentine, Ride, Type O Negative, Sonic Youth ecc.ecc.,
but re-arranged in a very personal way, characterized by walls of guitars, feedback, delays, reverbs, bass grooves and rhytmic articulated nosy guitars.
Last Movement was founded in 2009 initially as a solo project of Antonio M. (Ex-Avant-Garde, Cureproject) but at the beginning of 2010, the chance encounter with Andrea A. (drums) lays the foundation and the idea to raise up a proper band.
Giovanni S. joined the band as bass player, and the band goes on for some time with
an initial 3 members line up, but after a short while Stephen F.
(ex Simon Dreams in Violet and bass player in blackmondays)
is added as a second guitar player and the live footage then is completely re-arranged.
Actually Last Movement experienced a new changment in the line up, turning back to 3 elements, with Antonio M. on guitar and vocals, Andrew A. on drums and with an opened role for the bass player.
