dal vivo sono la roba più antiestetica che esista....

Possiamo discutere il loro look (anche se a dire il vero, mi piace il fatto che se ne sbattano di fare i tipi oscuri a tutti i costi), ma dal vivo sono una delle band più in gamba del circuito, e su disco sono fantastici

MESH - Only Better: A dark musical love story

After three years of silence following their successful “We Collide” album,
MESH return with „Only Better“, the pre-release single to the forthcoming LP
“A Perfect Solution“ to be released in October. Those who are familiar with
the British duo will know that neither title is meant to be taken as
optimistically as they may first appear, and those who let the music take
effect quickly realize that it is precisely the opposite, for MESH have
become harder, dirtier, and darker on “Only Better” than we have become
accustomed to. The former synth-pop heroes are not afraid to break from
convention and make use of guitars either, which will likely raise some
eyebrows, particularly on the exclusive
B-side “Shattered Glass”. Both songs are perfect pre-views to the style on
the new album, both in music and lyrical content. Both the single and the
album deal with the less beautiful aspects of a relationship, painful
compromises, fateful dependencies upon each other and because of each other,
relationships whose best days are behind them yet are continued out of fear
of giving them up rather than an emotional connection. If that were not
enough, the tracks also feature the
incomparably melodic vocals of MESH frontman Mark Hockings, who is
definitely to be regarded as one of the best singers in the genre.

Beh, la mia rece l'avete letta no?

Qualcuno ha ascoltato l'album? Il loro/la loro management ce lo ha concesso in download per un'intervista che stiamo preparando per Ascension Magazine.
Non mancherà di far discutere, ma secondo me si tratta di uno dei loro album migliori. Il primo pezzo, "If We Stay Here", lo ascolterete 600 volte. Un po' "diversi" dal solito, ma i Mesh-fans di vecchia data apprezzeranno.
